ABOUT THE SHOW

Castro's Castle is a show about a young mute man named Fidel living in modern-day Los Angeles with his nutcrackers, who host a public-access cable show when no one is looking.

The show was created by Eric Martin and Seth Allen in 2002. They write, direct, produce, and perform as all of the nutcrackers. In addition, Seth plays young Fidel.

CHARACTER BIOS

	Fidel Just arrived in America, he is a young man who cannot (or will not) speak. He struggles to make the rent and hold down a job in a new city. His only friends are his nutcrackers, but he does not know they are really real.
	Shanta Deeply deranged and prone to fits of screaming, Shanta is nevertheless adorable and a hit with the ladies. The de facto leader of Fidel's band of nutcrackers, Shanta hosts his own public-access talk show, Morning Wood.
	Shampagne A little slow on the uptake, but a worthy foil to Shanta, Shampagne is the host of That's Just Nuts, and performs short standup comedy sets at The Man Hole on Thursdays and Arnie's Grocery and Huka Repair on Fridays while waiting for his pilot to get picked up.
	Shames Brown The most successful of all the nutcrackers, Shames is an accomplished vocalist, and the hardest working block of wood in show business. Look for his latest album, Funk Spelunkers, at finer music stores everywhere.
	Shamps So old, so confused. Shamps is frequently put in charge of the smaller nutcrackers while the others are away working on their TV show, and he regales them with stories about his days when he could remember things and stay awake for more than 30 seconds.
